Watched 'THE LOTTO WINNER' (Netflix). The movie had almost nothing to do with winning a lottery. A Filipino man's wife dies and he gambles away his money and owes a bundle to the local mob. His adult daughter finally leaves when men with guns threaten her father and she resettles in Australia. He's dying of a strange disease and his daughter (a nurse) becomes his caregiver. This was sappy in the extreme and it seemed like his new millions had zero impact on his life and barely mentioned in the film. It was all about his emotional relationships.  Shot on location in Canberra, Australia. Odd: characters would switch from Tagalog (the national language of the Philippines) and English (Australian). What makes a person change from one language to the other? emphasis? to make a point? I've noticed this a lot in international films. 

Watched an episode of 'FATAL FRAUD' (Amazon Prime). In rural Danville, Vermont a man is taken from his home by an individual claiming to be a federal agent. His body is later found along a snowy country road with twelve bullets in his head and body. Later authorities find that he was a partner in a multimillion dollar oil deal with a fraudster from Russia. The Russian conman (who also posed as a Turkish prince) hired a hitman to kill his partner because he could no longer be trusted. A better story would have been how a man living in Danville, Vermont (pop. 2,335) with six children becomes involved with a dodgy character from overseas who suggests million dollar investment schemes.  

1225pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit Planet Fitness and then visit County Market for groceries. {I went to Schnucks to save time}

More 'BROTHERHOOD' (Netflix). I shut it down 23 minutes into the fourth episode. I'm following the simple plotline thread ("Lady Lawyer is the rat") and the overacting is not out of place in the slightest.
