Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'STATE OF FEAR' (Netflix). I can't believe that I randomly selected this film. It is a spin off of the series that I'm watching, 'IN THE MUD' (Netflix). Based on a true incident: In May 2006 the PCC completely shut down the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil for several days. Over the course of the rebellion more than 300 attacks across the metropolitan area; banks, metro stations, police infrastructure. Shopping malls, office towers, schools, all shut down. 500 people were killed. The series is set in Argentina, but the movie is set in Sao Paulo, Brazil. They were 'expanding the brand' of the smash hit Argentinian series. FUN FACT: Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, South America and the entire Western Hemisphere.

Watched 'GOOD NIGHT, AND GOOD LUCK: LIVE FROM BROADWAY' (Netflix). It's a filmed play in front of a live CNN audience...mostly. There is no actor playing Joe McCarthy. His dialog is taken from live film coverage of what McCarthy actually said on camera; with George Clooney. It ties in very well with my current audiobook, 'THE INDISPENSABLE RIGHT: FREE SPEECH IN THE AGE OF RAGE' by Jonathan Turley. His follow-up was 'RAGE AND THE REPUBLIC: THE UNFINISHED STORY OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION'.      

Watched 'THE FINAL 24: River Phoenix' (Amazon Prime). His real name was 'River Bottom'. The Bottoms were members of the 'Children of God'. The same cult that snared Jeremy Spencer of FLEETWOOD MAC. Peter Green believed in the cult but wasn't a member. River, his parents, and many siblings were evangelists in South America and when he became an actor he was the family breadwinner. Trouble with Judy Davis on his final film, 'DARK BLOOD'. I shut it down with 34 minutes left and I'll finish it later today.

 1220pm:  PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Planet Fitness.

1240pm  To Planet Fitness...45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 30"Recumbent Bike, 30"Cross...TWO HOURS AND 30 MINUTES;  watched true crime documentary 'THE MURDER OF RACHEL NICKELL' (Netflix)- Two rapes & murders with a toddler present. Odd; began NATE BARGATZE on THEO VON.
