Watched 'THE ART OF WAR: BETRAYAL' (Netflix). A retired super-spy learns that his childhood martial arts teacher has been murdered and he reenters the spy craft world to find the killer. An assassination plot is uncovered and 'the twist' is that the teacher's sultry daughter hooks up with the spy and seems to have legitimate feelings for him. Alas, she's only spying on him for a corrupt United States senator. The fight scenes were a mix of Shotokan Karate, Hapkido, Taekwondo and barely believable; with Wesley Snipes and in AI Mode I learned that the actor, Wesley Snipes holds a 5th-degree black belt in Shotokan Karate and a black belt in Taekwondo. 

Watched 'A FATHER'S MIRACLE' (Netflix). A poor & mentally challenged street vendor has a young daughter who needs new running shoes. A rich girl gets the shoes he wanted for his kid. As the girl tries to give the sneakers to the slow dad, she falls to her death. For some reason this exchange took place high up in an abandoned warehouse. The rich girl's dad is an army officer and wants the man responsible for his daughter's death to be taken out. The ending is so dumb that it's not worth repeating. One Thumb Way Down. The film seems more than a little silly and very hard to believe. Filmed near Bogota and Guasca, Colombia.  

More of 'WASHINGTON' (Netflix).  I shut it down 28 minutes into the second episode. When the British attacked the colonies in 1776 it was the largest army to cross the Atlantic. It remained the largest invasion until America went to war in Europe during the first world war.

Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
