Up 620am: Cloudy & very humid with temps to about 90. Just over 2 inches fell yesterday after 6pm. The short rain gauge is now in the planter on the front stoop where it should have been all along. 

***Cat Piss and Durban Poison are my favorite Sativas and I really can't judge which one is stronger. One of these days I'll have to try an Indica. 

No further activity next door although the porch light is now 'on'. I've got to address the bushes & lawn, but today is far too humid and hot. The Agnes Fenner appointment is weighing heavily even though the anxiety is without cause.   

Watched 'ANTHROPOID' (Netflix). An enjoyable drama about the assassination of Freydrick Reinhard Heydrich, the top Nazi leader in Czechoslovakia; Code Name-"Anthropoid" {the word means 'like a human'}. I remembered seeing a 'true crime' about the event and Heydrich actually died of blood poisoning from the debris in his wounds. He was shot from the back and the bullet carried horse hair fibers from the car seat and caused the infection.  'Lidice Massacre'- Nazi retaliation for the assassination; an entire village was wiped out. All men over the age of sixteen were shot and the women and children were sent to camps. The seven parachutists held off the Nazis for six hours before they died. Kinda like a Czechoslovakian Alamo situation; with Cillian Murphy. "59" Metascore and I would easily go to "84". The film demonstrates the deadly risks involved in being involved in a 'resistance'. Because of your violent action those in power will strike back and thousands of innocent civilians will be murdered. Does the heroic act of the assassination actually make the occupation much more lethal to the average citizen?

Began 'THE WITNESS' (Netflix). I shut it down 5 minutes into the second episode & I'll finish the mini-series at Esporta this afternoon...Today's movie choices were strange. I remembered seeing a 'true crime' about the Czech assassination plot of Heydrich so I was familiar with the movie theme and 'THE WITNESS' is based on a 'true crime' that I watched yesterday on the treadmill. It's about a young mother who was raped and murdered on Wimbledon Commons. Her two year old son was the only witness and the authorities fumble the investigation by focusing on the wrong suspect. And, both the movie and the series were well worth a look.

More 'IN THE MUD' (Netflix). I shut it down 25 minutes into the seventh episode. When I finish this season I'll put a note on the calendar to watch the next season in two months; entry for August 9.
