Watched 'BAD SEEDS' (Netflix). The film features an odd relationship between two crooks, a man in his 30's and an elderly lady who is his 'adoptive mother and partner-in-crime'. They minister to a group of wayward teens and attempt to show them how to live in a multicultural world. Unfortunately, the film is almost a testament to the fact that most comedies do not appeal to an international audience. This one had its moments, but the story is too farfetched to appeal to a US audience. In a grocery store parking lot an elderly lady stops a person leaving the store and claims that her purse has just been stolen. When the 'mark' chases the thief (the robber is working with the old woman), she steals his cart full of groceries... "That will teach you to help others, asshole". The two  'toughs' in the class read a book called, 'WARRIORS FIGHT FOR HONOR'; with Catherine Deneuve, Kheiron (an Iranian actor & writer).

Watched 'NAKED AMBITION' (Netflix). A profile of 'the world's prettiest photographer', Bunny Yeager.  She was known as a model and an ace photographer; Miami, Florida. Origin of the term, 'Cheesecake'- In 1915 a photographer took a photo of a French singer/actress with her skirt lifted to expose her ankle and a bit of leg. He exclaimed, "This is better than cheesecake". " From AI Mode: "Because explicit or semi-nude photos were considered highly taboo and socially unacceptable to print, "cheesecake" became a polite code word that newspaper editors, photographers, and the public could use to describe risqué or glamorous photos without causing a scandal." Bunny was the photographer who made the model, Bettie Page, a star.  Bunny's husband was a police detective who died by suicide and she had two daughters. One of them was born deaf. A fascinating documentary. 

1210pm: The PC is 'Off' and will call the library about my card; missing and about to expire. Then, 5 miles on the treadmill. Still far too hot to walk outside. 

Called the library, but I couldn't find my card. I found the card, called back with the card number (I almost still remembered it), and now I'm good for 2 more years.

540pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched a 'FATAL FRAUD' (Amazon Prime)- A conman kills a rich London woman and loots the estate before anyone realizes she is dead; began a solo 'ARE YOU GARBAGE'?

Finished the Jethro Tull documentary.

More 'MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE' (Netflix). I shut it down 42 minutes into episode #2. This is far removed from the oddness of PK Dick's novel, and the series is more of an engaging espionage/ thriller film.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home.
