Watched 'DEAD TO RIGHTS' (Kanopy). This is a big budget contemporary Chinese film about 'NANJING MASSACRE' which began on December 13, 1937 and lasted about six weeks. 100,000 to 300,000 killed; widespread sexual violence- twenty to eighty thousand; burned down 1/3 of the city. This is heartfelt, pro-Chinese propaganda, but well shot and very interesting. Plot: A Chinese postman must develop negatives for the Japanese. Many civilians are hiding in the shop and they manage to secure photographic evidence of the atrocities.  

945am: The PC is 'Off' and I'm going for a walk in the park. It's going to get sweltering in the next few days, so I'll hit it while it's still cool.

Watched 'BROTHERS IN BLUES' (Amazon Prime). An interesting documentary about two international Blues superstars who grew up in the white suburban Texas heartland of the late 1950's. Stevie Ray and his older brother Jimmy grew up near Kiest Park which is a southern suburb of Dallas.

Finished '48 HOURS' (Netflix)- A woman is found in the bathroom of her apartment, dead with a bullet to her temple. Her boyfriend said that she locked herself in the bathroom and blew out her brains. A jury of twelve said that he did it. I could have gone either way on this one.  

Finished an old 'THE CHURCH OF WHAT'S HAPPENING'.

More 'SUMMER '36' (Netflix). I shut it down 14 minutes into the fifth episode. Now, it's even more confusing; many characters & many names.
