Up 630am: A slight chance of a morning shower {nada}, then Hot & Nasty; 'Excessive Heat Warning' begins at noon. Today was the most humid day that I've ever experienced. It was literally (exactly) like walking inside a very large steam room. 

Weekly Cleaning

Watched 'REGRESSION' (Hoopla). It's a difficult subject because the film attempts to demonstrate how reasonable people can become ensnared in their own thoughts. The police, therapists, and 'common sense individuals' all accepted the unprovable fact that satanic cults were creating evil throughout the world. You can accuse anyone of anything, and if they say they didn't do it, you just say that they don't remember. Without a shred of tangible evidence people accept this because they can rationalize that 'they are so sure....and it says so in the bible'; with Ethan Hawke, David Thewlis, Emma Watson. "32" Metascore and I would easily go to "81". From THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER- "..."compact, if over-cautious, horror-tinged psychological thriller. But it's most interesting beneath its polished, doomy surface, where complex concerns about the cultural origins of our fears are skillfully explored. No large-scale, organized, or multi-generational underground 'Satanic ritual abuse' (SRA) exists and it is most likely a product of moral hysteria, coercive interview techniques, and debunked therapeutic practices. FUN FACT: "Regression therapy causes false memories".

Began 'COUNTDOWN TO MURDER' (Amazon Prime). The first episode of season #2 is about a man from East London who dismembers his adult sister and dumps her body in a canal. He had no chance of getting away with the crime and an 'accredited authority' claimed that the man was 'addicted to skunk weed' and it made him psychotic. This is a new wrinkle on the completely discredited 'reefer madness' theory. There's no concrete evidence that links cannabis to the mayhem. One could just as easily make the case that it happened because he was tall, or that he had acne as a teen, or that he was a Christian.

Began a CHRIS DISTEFANO podcast

1215pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to workout at Planet Fitness and then do the grocery shopping at Schnucks. 

1250pm:  To Planet Fitness... 45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 20"Recumbent Bike, 25"Cross...TWO HOURS AND 15 MINUTES; finished 'BAD THOUGHTS' (Netflix)- very funny & disturbing;  began 'NEW YORK: HOMICIDE' (Netflix); began 'INSTADOCS- THE PREDICTION GAME' (Netflix)- A series that examines 'Prediction Markets'.

320pm- 4pm:  To Schnucks: $93.00

540pm:  In the tub with 'THE FAMILY ARSENAL' and listening to DAVE HOLLAND- 'Another Land'; COLLECTIVE SOUL- 'Hints & Allegations'; ED ROLAND & The Sweet Tea Project; more of 'Hints'.

Finished CHRIS DISTEFANO alone from his trunk in front of his house; began STAVVY'S WORLD with 2 female guests.

More 'SUMMER '36' (Netflix). I finished the fifth episode and only one remains. I could finish it tomorrow morning. I haven't the slightest idea who is the killer- it's far too confusing, but beautiful sets, costumes and locations.
