When I got up the painter's car was in the driveway of the abandoned house; 6am. He must be doing some early morning interior work. 

Watched 'ON YOUR LAP' (Netflix). The film features some of the most desperately indigent characters that I've ever seen on film. Late one night a very pregnant (and single) woman finds herself on the doorstep of a very meager coffee shop. The old woman who owns the place offers a job and and a place to stay. Their lives become entwined and strong familial bonds are formed.  The film's tone is very romantic, although the dire economic situation of the characters is foremost on your mind from start to finish. It's a powerful Art film and I really liked it. Filmed in the Pantura region on the northern coast of Java, Indonesia. 'kopi pangku'- a waitress who serves coffee on customers' laps.

Finished 'ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER' (Amazon Prime). Paul Thomas Anderson's funniest film. "Raped in reverse"; "She was a sperm thief"; "A semen demon". I will definitely see this one again. It's a film classic. 

11am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a workout at Esporta, then a visit to ARC, and finally a stop for more Natural Light, apples, and diet soda. 

1130am: To Esporta...45"Precor, 45"Treadmill, 30"Cross, 15"Recumbent Bike, 15"Recumbent Bike...TWO HOURS AND 30 MINUTES; watched 'SINGLE WHITE FEMALE' (Netflix).  Set and shot in early 90's Manhattan and features Bridgit Fonda & Jennifer Jason Lee when they were young starlets and even then you could tell that 'they were going somewhere'. The film is a reasonably entertaining psychological thriller about a 'roommate from Hell'; with Bridget Fonda, Jennifer Jason Leigh; more 'SOUTHLAND' (Netflix).

220pm: Schnucks: $38- beer, soda, apples & a dollar candy bar.

240pm- 4pm: On Monday she has another scan and then a lung biopsy the same morning. Joe has his stiches removed on Monday, too. Just as I rose to leave Joe walked in. I would have liked to visit with Joe for a bit, but I'd already sat there for over an hour, so....gotta go!

Began 'THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE' (Netflix).  I think I began this series on Amazon Prime & I'll give it another shot. I shut it down 53 minutes into the first episode and I'll definitely watch more. Although I might not watch all four seasons, but it's a high quality series.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
