 Fr 8/28/26

740am (GB: 5/ Cat Piss). 845am (6-B: NEW STRAIN...Durban Poison). 1210pm (GB: 5/ Durban Poison). 535pm (GB: 5/ Cat Piss). 825pm (GB: 6/ Durban Poison).

Up 640am: Mostly sunny with light winds and temps to mid 80's. (Windows are still open)

There doesn't seem to be a 'Boil Order' in Springfield and the water at 940 seems much clearer (back to normal?).

***745am: Two trucks arrived to check my water. The CWLP guy said that I was the only one to call in a report on Westview, and it's possible that 940 was the only affected home. This seems questionable, but he gets the big bucks. They ran some test water from my outside faucet and opened the hydrant and checked under the manhole. Luckily, I had run water earlier and felt that I was in the clear. They were very responsive to my complaint.

Watched 'ALTERED STATES' (Hoopla). A sensory deprivation tank and psychedelic drugs become a gateway to a 'higher' power and during the process the researcher genetically reverts him back to a proto-human. A silly premise, but works fine if you don't take it too seriously. Filmed in Boston, New Mexico, Manhattan, Bronx Zoo. Directed by Ken Russell and written by Paddy Chayefsky; with William Hurt, Bob Balaban, Blair Brown. "58" Metascore and I would go to "81".

Watched a YouTube video (30") about Noel Redding. The saga of one more rocker who got taken to the cleaners by management and their own stupidity.

Finished episode #5 of 'I'M NOT AFRAID' (Netflix). I'll watch the final episode tonight.

1155am: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a visit to Planet Fitness, and then to Schnucks for apples.

1220pm: To Planet Fitness...45"Cross,  45"Treadmill,  20"Recumbent Bike,  25"Cross... TWO HOURS AND 15 MINUTES... watched documentary 'DEATH OF THE PASTOR'S WIFE'- Con-man preacher uses the Bible & mind control to subjugate his wife.

Schnucks: a couple of bananas, root beer zero, 30 pack Natural Light, 2 pks tortillas

Reading & finished 'PARABLE OF THE TALENTS'

540pm: In the tub to begin 'CRY TO HEAVEN' by ANNE RICE and listening to ERIC DOLPHY- 'Out There'; ELVIS COSTELLO- 'Best of 1st Ten Years'.

Watched 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?'- Drive Through.

Finished 'I'M NOT AFRAID' (Netflix). A less than satisfying ending; just 'one thumb up'; & more 'BIG MISTAKES' (Netflix). I shut it down 5 minutes into the 3rd episode.

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Tu 9/30/35- Flu Shot/ COVID/ Gummy 730am (1-LB: a mix of Diablo's & Citrus). 815am (1/2-B: Diablo's Hearse). 1255pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 1pm [I took 1/2 'DIET SMOKE]. 250pm (1/2-B: Citrus Mac). 435pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 810pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac).  Up 635am: Sunny & unseasonably warm with temps almost to 90. Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...

Su 8/9/26 820am (GB: 5/ Durban Poison). 320pm (GB: 5/ Red Congolese).  535pm (GB: 6/ Durban Poison). 830pm (GB: 6/ Red Congolese).  Up 635am: Hot & humid with temps to upper 80's and a 'Heat Advisory' is in effect. Weekly Cleaning & I tried to add 'uBlock Origin' to the upstairs PC, but it said I already have it. I rejected all ads at Accuweather and it makes the site watchable. This feature is not available at The Weather Channel. I had planned to try a visit to Pleasant Plains in the morning, but constipated so I think I'll hit it later. Watched 'CHIEF OF STATION' (Netflix). A former CIA Station Chief's wife is killed in an 'accidental' explosion and then accused of being a double agent. Hubby goes rogue to find his wife's killers. Very lame and highly forgettable; with Aaron Eckhart (Alec Baldwin was first on their list). I had planned to visit Plains earlier, but constipation is an issue. 1025am- 205pm; home by 230pm call Joe...
