Watched 'MOTEL DESTINO' (Kanopy). An odd Brazilian Film Noir/ Art Film about a criminal who hides out at a 'hot sheet' motel and falls in lust with the owner's wife. Odd Scenes: moaning & shrieking in the motel corridors; the lovers digging their graves at gunpoint and stark naked; the owner hits a horse in his jeep and is killed; the guy ends up working in a Brazilian ice factory shoveling cubes and says he will meet his love maybe in another lifetime. "74" Metascore and I would go to "81". Shot along the coast of Ceara which is along the Atlantic ocean in Northeastern Brazil.  

Began 'INSIDE THE TRUSTOR SCANDAL' (Netflix). Biggest financial scandal in Swedish history. A major player buys companies with their own money. I'll finish this tonight- one hour and four minutes remaining.

***120pm- 140pm:  That might be the strongest thunderstorm I've ever experienced. It was hurricane strength & the rain was hitting the windows like a fire hose. I hope things are OK on Westview. 

***When I left Planet Fitness the lights were out at Chatham & Wabash and all along Chatham heading north. Leaves & small branches all over the streets in the Oaks. Power never went out at 940 because the red light is still on the wifi router. Rain gauges said 2" this morning & 3" this afternoon. 

An email from CWLP saying power is out in the Oaks. The map puts me right on the northern edge of the outage, but all systems 'God at 940; 330pm.

A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside.
