 Fr 10/30/26

720am {1/4 Extreme Chill 'Wedding Cake' 150 mg: 37 mg total}. 740am (GB: 5/ Red Congolese). 1005am (4-B: Hammerhead). 1250pm (GB: 5/ Hammerhead). 225pm (4-B: Hammerhead). 530pm (GB: a mix of Red & Hammerhead). 825pm (GB: 5/ Hammerhead).

Up 645am: Drizzle & sprinkles all day and cooler with temps only to upper 60's.

Watched 'COLLISION COURSE' (Netflix). It's a well crafted Spanish film that's designed to confuse or confound. A professional gang's smash & grab goes awry when the diamonds they expected to find are not in the proper safety deposit box. During the getaway from the bank, one of the robbers is killed when their vehicle is rammed by a guy who ran a stop sign. The movie is structured so that we see a different reality as the storyline recounts each member of the crew dying in that fatal accident.  The film is purposely puzzling, but kind of satisfying. The banker (who was their man on the inside) got away with the jewels, so it shows that the little guys always lose to the banks. The movie opens with news footage of a recent Spanish banking crisis where the government had to bail out the banks, but not the people who had lost all of their savings.

Finished 'THE FALL OF EL MAYO' (Netflix). What 'The War On Drugs' really did was create an unstoppable opposing force that has metastasized into something more powerful than any government. The cartels now wield enough clout to murder, threaten, or buy off anything or anyone that stands in their way. If sanity prevails, drugs will become 'legal' and misuse will be viewed as a medical issue. Wake up to the fact that addiction cannot be cured, moderated, or controlled with guns and bullets.

1230pm: The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a walk on the treadmill.

1255pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched an episode of 'HOMICIDE NEW ORLEANS' (Netflix)- A carjacking crew shoots & runs over a good Samaritan who was only trying to protect his car; finished MARK NORMAND on NEAL BRENNAN; began KEVIN & FOLEY on 'BEING' IAN'.

Reading 'WHAT WE KEEP' & napped and woke at 510pm so I cancelled the last two miles of the day. I'll make it up tomorrow....

535pm: In the tub with 'WHAT WE KEEP' and listening to CHARLIE MARIANO- 'Helen 12 Trees'; JOHN MAYALL- 'Beano'; BOB DYLAN- 'Street Legal'/ 'Infidel'.

***prompted for a restart; took a few moments and made no difference- as usual.

More of KEVIN & FOLEY on 'BEING' IAN'.

Began 'THE NEW STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT' (Netflix). The 70's experiment is recreated to see if power really does corrupt. Why are they always using sociology experiments from fifty or sixty years ago? Confirmation Bias is from the 60's. Confident people are less likely to be 100% sure that they are correct and people with little knowledge of a subject generally claim that they know more than they really do. The corporations have been mining personal data from all of us for decades so where is the treasure trove of powerful insights?

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Tu 9/30/25- Flu Shot/ COVID/ Gummy

Tu 9/30/35- Flu Shot/ COVID/ Gummy 730am (1-LB: a mix of Diablo's & Citrus). 815am (1/2-B: Diablo's Hearse). 1255pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 1pm [I took 1/2 'DIET SMOKE]. 250pm (1/2-B: Citrus Mac). 435pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 810pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac).  Up 635am: Sunny & unseasonably warm with temps almost to 90. Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...

Su 8/9/26 820am (GB: 5/ Durban Poison). 320pm (GB: 5/ Red Congolese).  535pm (GB: 6/ Durban Poison). 830pm (GB: 6/ Red Congolese).  Up 635am: Hot & humid with temps to upper 80's and a 'Heat Advisory' is in effect. Weekly Cleaning & I tried to add 'uBlock Origin' to the upstairs PC, but it said I already have it. I rejected all ads at Accuweather and it makes the site watchable. This feature is not available at The Weather Channel. I had planned to try a visit to Pleasant Plains in the morning, but constipated so I think I'll hit it later. Watched 'CHIEF OF STATION' (Netflix). A former CIA Station Chief's wife is killed in an 'accidental' explosion and then accused of being a double agent. Hubby goes rogue to find his wife's killers. Very lame and highly forgettable; with Aaron Eckhart (Alec Baldwin was first on their list). I had planned to visit Plains earlier, but constipation is an issue. 1025am- 205pm; home by 230pm call Joe...
