Mo 10/16/17- Verification That AON Coverage Is The Same in 2018

Mo 10/16/17

Read 330am- 430am BOTTOM LINER BLUES, K. C. Constantine and finished the book.  A very strange police novel, and I don't think I've read anything quite like it.  Although Mario Balzic, police chief of Rocksburg, Pennsylvania, is the protagonist of the novel, the book is far from a police procedural. It's really about the drastic change in economy of the area and how this grim and uncertain future affects the people who live there.

Up and on the PC at 5am; before sunrise the temperature was only 40 degrees, then sunny and cool, 60's- beautiful Fall day.

Watched the last half of a MINDHUNTER and then another episode of this excellent series (took me awhile to get into it). Then, the last fifteen minutes of BABYSITTER, the film that I watched last night. Really not as good as I had hoped; a let-down, and not one of the better Netflix productions. Then, another episode of THE FIVE.

About 9am I decided to give the Open Enrollment at AON Retiree a call. The open enrollment begins today and runs through Dec. 7th. I got right through, but no help. I really only wanted to know if my policy had changed (I want to continue with what I had in 2017), and to make sure that I still had the Silver Sneakers program. The clerk was of no help because she told me that I wouldn't have to call, but she couldn't tell me if anything had changed. I guess if I don't call, if there were changes, they'd just put me down for anything- who the fuck would want that?

Anyway, she was able to get me a callback today between 11am- and 1pm. Hopefully, with someone with more answers than she was able to provide.

I took it because I also got a call telling me that Tiger Plumbing would not come today, but they would be out to check the furnace tomorrow at the same time- between 3pm and 5pm.

The AON people called right before 11am, but before they disturbed my revelry, I got another call from Tiger Plumbing wanting to know if they could reschedule for sometime next week. I told them that not an hour ago they cancelled today and made the appointment for Thursday. She called back, and now it's 'tentatively' on for next Tuesday between 11am and 1pm.

It looks like my insurance coverage will be exactly as it was in 2017. And, Silver Sneakers remains in place! Thinking back on the conversation, I wish that I could have some kind of verification that what she said is actually true. However, it seems that any changes have to be made in writing and I must acknowledge that I'm aware of any new facts.

I paid both credit cards and had trouble accessing the Visa and ended up changing the password. No biggie, and I'm wondering why the charge for the oven/microwave is not on the Visa. Maybe it won't be processed until the unit it installed. I might give the folks at Van Dyke's a call if I remember.

On the machines at FitClub 1245pm. 45" Walk. 3.6/0. 45" Recumbent Bike. 30" Octane (The Big To Do; I ripped this Drive-By Truckers cd on the living room PC, and it made it to Google Play. For some reason, it didn't go on the downstairs PC last night). 45" Cross. Some of the machines. 30" Old Style Cross. Whirlpool (full immersion)/ no pool.

Home to start DESPERADOES by Ron Hansen; 45" WALL OF VOODOO. CAR DOGS for tonight.
