Th 10/12/2017- Purchased Oven/Microwave Combo; Dick Van Dyke's
Th 10/12/2017
Read OUTLANDER 4am-5am, then up. Another cool and gloomy day- sixties and cloudy- periods of mist.
Watched the last hour and a half of JACKIE BROWN. A long film, but a great film. I know I have RUM PUNCH by Elmore Leonard, and whenever I find it, it's Number One on my reading list! Then, another episode of COLD JUSTICE.
8am- Adam, the tech from Dick Van Dyke called to tell me that the new motherboard is THIRTEEN-HUNDRED-FUCKING-DOLLARS! And, even he recommended that I get a replacement oven/microwave. I'm going to Lowe's and Menard's first, and then to Van Dyke's. Also, the tea kettle is in at Walmart.
1145am- Off to Lowe's, Walmart, Menard's, Dick Van Dyke's, and then, the 'Y'; maybe do the grocery shopping if not too bummed.
Here's The Wrap-
At Lowe's they (a female clerk) were very helpful. She made me a printout of two options with prices and gave me an idea of how they will fit in the cabinets. She encouraged me to check other places.
At Walmart I picked up my six dollar kettle without the usual long, long weight. It came in a box half the size of my trunk and I just left the box in the can at the front of the building.
At Menard's I went to the lighting department and got a light sensitive bulb for the front lamp post. This is by far the easiest way to go. It's a regular bulb with a sensor built into the base. This will completely eliminate the cost of hard-wiring some kind of switch. Only seven bucks for the bulb. But, no help whatsoever at the appliance department. Not really their fault, but they do NOT install appliances. How could they expect the regular person to put in an oven/micro wave combo. Ridiculous!
Dick Van Dyke was very helpful, and I went with them because now I have a warranty that covers both units completely for five years and a limited warranty for five more years. $2,700. He wanted to schedule the installation on Oct. 25th- The Book Club Meeting and The Appointment at Black Moon; will do it on Fr 10/27/17.
2pm on the machines at the 'Y'. 45" Walk. 3.6/0. 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Bike. 30" Cross. 10" Steam Room.
Went to Fairhills County Market- $68.00.
Home 645pm No reading, and no discs. Expecting CASINO and BRAVE HEART, but nooooo....Will stream FOO FIGHTERS- BACK AND FORTH.
