Th 11/9/17- Dr. Stephens- Springfield Clinic, 9am

Up 5am; watched the last two episodes of THE UNITED STATES OF TARA, then almost a half hour of GOODFELLAS. 

805am; To Springfield Clinic. Drove right to the place and parked in the lot. Got right into the examination room, but I waited there for over thirty minutes. Read an excellent article in Vanity Fair about 'Russian Fake News and Donald Trump'. Putin's Russia is very much like what Trump would like for the US.

Located the pain immediately and he suggested a shot of cortisone. He said that the reason most people did not take this right off the bat is that they don't like the pain of needles. It was just a pinch, and nothing like the sessions at Black Moon. He wrote a prescription for medication to stop the inflammation of the tendon. I learned that CAT is for broken bones and MRI is for tendons/muscles.

Stopped at the Monroe PO (used the parking lot for the first time), and bought a stamp to mail the money to Element Services, and return THE UNITED STATES OF TARA.

Stopped at County Market ($63) for the groceries and picked up the medication ($20). 

DICLOFENAC    75 MG- Checked it out after workout....non-narcotic, slow acting, for arthritis.

Home to have two cups of very strong brewed coffee and lunch (a pancake) and got to about the halfway point in Goodfellas.

Painting the front stoop- 1pm; Not quite accurate...When I opened the gallon can of paint I found that the paint had congealed into an ugly blob at the bottom of the can. I called Ace and they said that had gray patio style paint. I went over and got 'steel wool gray'; only about a pint?. Also, got a set of cheap screw drivers for three bucks and some hand cleaner (which I didn't use). Got back and applied the paint quickly and without incident; blowing leaves were not a factor.

3pm at FitClub West. 45" Recumbent Bike; track area. 45" Octane (A YARD FULL OF DIAMONDS). 30" Recumbent Bike (Listened to YouTube videos of Noam Chomsky). 30" Cross (Chomsky). Shower only. Home to check out the paint job and remove the masking tape. Looks great!

Cold weather is on the way. Barely 40 for tomorrow's high. On the bright side, maybe this will really be the last time I mow until Spring- frost will stop growth.

 COLD JUSTICE; wife in Columbus, GA uses a 'guy friend' to murder her very popular husband (1,000 people attended his funeral) for $250,000 in insurance money. She used a guy that wished he could be her lover, and she was more than willing to falsely manufacture that hope; still pending in the courts.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
