Tu 11/28/17

Up 620am; Bright and sunny, but windy- gusts to 30mph; high 60's later.

Dumped several cds on to Google Play, and then watched the rest of BLACK HAWK DOWN; 8am. An exhausting film and although it's based on a real incident, it felt like a very well-done video game (Bang! Bang!). I think many reviews confused 'realism' with 'heroics'; just a little too fake heroic to be considered a realistic portrayal of men in combat, although it was still an immensely watchable experience!

Then, two episodes of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. 1pm; driving to the 'Y'. I should have ran outside on such a nice day, but lost my enthusiasm.

45" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Bike. 30" Cross. 10" Steam Room (and, of course the old guy who can't stand the steam was in the steam room- why the fuck does he bother!).

When I got home I cleaned the headlights on the Accord before I pulled into the garage. Driving to and from the 'Y' in the dark is a true lighting challenge. I sure hope that they finish the round-about before the roads get icy. Crowded two lane roads are just too dangerous in the winter.

BUSHWICK (Netflix) tonight on the large TV downstairs, and the film is a nifty theoretical revisit to the 1984 film, RED DAWN- invasion by a nefarious internal political enemy (under the leadership of Texas, several southern states secede from the US- this is contemporary times!)  comes to Brooklyn, NY, and the rest of the USA.  An immensely watchable experience, and proves that a lot can be done with a dynamite story, but no stars or lavish production values.
