Up 6am; Very cold, bright, and blustery- to mid 30's later. Watched the Netflix disc, GIFTED. Better than average tale of a young man who is raising his 8 year old niece and is in a custody battle with his mother over the kid- and the little girl is a math prodigy; set in Savannah, GA. Then, another episode of THE WIRE.
Called 'Your Spending Account' and made sure that I'm filling out the correct form- I am. And, set up My Social Security online account. I want to find out what or if I am paying for my Plan B Medicare. I can be reimbursed for this because it might change for 2018. I called Dax's office to arrange for the Brandenburgs to pick up a pecan pie when they get theirs.
115pm Going to Memorial Medical to pay my end of the CAT scan (that scan cost $2,400 retail!!). Then to the Monroe PO to send in the reimbursement form. I'll get $90 back on the scan, a couple of office visits, and more for a couple of prescriptions; Approx. $160 Total. Then to FitClub.
3pm on the machines. Talking to the guy that always talks about health clubs- he mentioned that there is now an optional $29.99 fee to be an 'advisory member'. Later as I was leaving the club I had one of the bosses send me the email so that I can vote, "NO"!
45" Octane (STAND UP- Jethro Tull). 45" Recumbent Bike. 30" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Cross. Legs/ Biceps/ Chest. 30" Old Style Cross. Whirlpool.
Home to stream a Netflix doc about session musicians; HIRED GUN.
I submitted the following review to Netflix-
"Although this is an interesting documentary, I would like to think that the music that I have loved for decades was made by artists, not just technicians. But, I guess to a large degree, I'm wrong. I wonder if these guys believe that there is a difference between an artist and someone who is merely extremely proficient at his craft? I couldn't help thinking that maybe the point of the film is that schlock is much easier on the ears if it is performed by incredibly talented players. None of these guys seemed to believe in art or inspiration- just very savvy at being able to assemble musical bits in a bright and shiny fashion."
