Up 515am; Gray and frigid; 10 with below zero wind chills....the usual.

Watched the last hour of CANDY, and the bonus features. The ending is quite different from the book. I preferred the book's ending where Candy just slips out of Dan's life. He hears about her once or twice, and then nothing. Sometimes people are a dominating presence in our lives, and then in months or years, they are just gone. I kinda dug that.

915AM- I took down the Xmas decorations

Episode #2 of La Mante. 1030am- reading VIOLENT WARD and finished the novel. Maybe a bit too convoluted, but Len Deighton is a terrific writer and I want to get more of his stuff. This book seems to be a kind of departure since most of his work is within the spy genre.

1pm left for FitClub South and stopped at the Wabash PO to drop off the disc. 45" My Fave Cross (Soundtrack to The Sopranos). 45" Recumbent Bike (began FROM THE TEETH OF ANGELS- Jonathan Carroll). 45" Cross. 30" Recumbent Bike (read) 30" Cross; TV area.
10" Steam room. 10" Whirlpool; left arm out of the swirl.

$61 at the County Market on South Sixth. Home to watch the first in the Netflix series, ROTTEN. The premiere episode was about the Chinese intervention into The World/ American Honey Industry (50"). Not as hard-hitting as I expected because this seems like a series that is not about healthy foods, but a venue to expose how American businesses have been cheated.  Then, FUNCTIONAL FITNESS- 'the nuts get fit'.  This 'Cross Fit Movement' is what FitClub is trying to promote. I don't like it, but it kind of makes sense because the seniors are only going to be around for several more years, so their business model must appeal to a younger clientele.
