Up 5am. The melting is working! It's only 730am and it looks like the driveway is mostly water- not ice. Temps in the mid 30's and cloudy. It's supposed to clear up and get to the upper 30's.

I wrote up FROM THE TEETH OF ANGELS for the blog, and then finished HAPPY HUNTING. The film was much better than I expected if you view it as kind of a spoof on the genre. A desert town institutionalizes 'thinning the herd' and all the gruesome details are fully explored with a dollop of humor. 

'TOO LATE' (John Hawkes) on Netflix (8am) I had seen this one before, but forgot how good it was. Five segments all shot with no cuts; dialog and story-line worthy of the finest film-noir. I'm surprised that this director is not more well known.  Near the end of the film, I shut it down, and wrote/ sent the Chat Wrap to Janny and by 1115am reading LILY DALE. 

130pm on the machines at the 'Y'. 45" Walk. 3.7/0. 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Chat. 30" Bike. 30" Cross. 10" Steam Room; not really rockin'- I wish you could get a dependable and consistent 'burn'.
Will start with GLITTER GODDESS- QUEEN OF THE SUNSET STRIP (Amazon Prime)......A ninety dollar gas bill!!!!

The gas bill was worse, but GLITTER GODDESS was a very close second. A low budget and amateurish documentary about a woman who learned that her mother was a lesbian and her father was clinically insane who goes on to help children of gay parents. I watched and skimmed about 20"... So Bad, it's Good... but, as the Stones used to say, "You gotta move on....".
And now, for something completely different...THE NAZI DEATH SQUAD: EINSATZGRUPPEN (Amazon Prime). Then, another GIRLS- (STD from the ex who is now gay?).

Reading glasses broke...and the phone weather site says I'm in Kell, Il. Major meltdown.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy

We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
