Up 550am; To upper 40's and rain beginning late this afternoon and to continue all day Saturday; 1"-2" of rain could fall.

'THE FALCON AND THE SNOWMAN'- Amazon Prime (710am) My overwhelming impression is that although Sean Penn seems hardly more than a teenager, he is a riveting actor even at so young an age; filmed in 1985.

Then #4 of 'WILD WILD COUNTRY'. More crazy antics from Rajneesh, Sheela, and their band of delusional holy fools. Hard to believe that this really happened in the 80's, and seems more plausible in the age of Trump. 

1245pm- To Walmart/ Xfinity Store/ 'Y'. Got a 30 pk., and I'm hoping that I can keep the good thing going, and this will last two weeks, bought a belt- a kind of army belt that I can cut to fit and it doesn't have holes, and two large bottles of hot sauce for eighty-eighty cents a pop.

Then to the Xfinity store to be told almost the opposite of what the installer said. Now it seems that the retention of my old telephone number will take three to five working days and he can't say that it will work. However, he did install the memory card that I've had lying around for almost three years and it adds 32GB to the phone. While I was waiting I looked at the four or five phones that were available and it seems that 'memory' was what cost a whole lot more- now, I've got it.

On the machines at the 'Y' around 2pm. 45" Walk. 3.6/0 (pain is a factor and I'll have to have a more permanent fix from a doctor in my immediate future). 45" Recumbent Bike (Took a Raymond Chandler novel, THE BIG SLEEP, but won't get involved...I read this and saw the film three years ago). 45" Cross. 30" Bike. 30" Cross. Light rain beginning to fall as I was leaving.

Home to listen to BONGWATER and I finished THE BURNING GIRL; a depressing, yet well written novel.

Watching Netflix disc, 'NOVEMBER CRIMINALS. A couple of notches above mediocre, but no cigar. A black high school student is gunned down in a coffee shop and the cops want to write it off as a gang shooting, but his white friend knows that isn't the case. Cops want him to move on, but he pulls a Nancy Drew, and finds the murderer. And, he loves David Bowie and he has a hot girlfriend who loses her virginity to him (and he loses his to her). I should have checked to see if this was streamable on Prime or Xfinity. Back in the day, this would be filed under 'straight to tape'.
