Up 530am; mostly sunny; 30's- 40's.
'IRREVERSIBLE'- A French film on Amazon Prime. I'm going to try it on Google Chrome; maybe the additional bandwidth will allow it to play. Will try the Google Chrome another time, but the French film was just too much of a downer. I'd seen it before- a rape presented out of sequence and intentionally disorienting. Vincent Cassel is always good, but too much for a Sunday morning.
Switched to 'LANDLINE' a film made for Amazon. Two sisters learn their father is having an affair- or they think he is. Also, the older sister is also having second thoughts about the affair that she is having; Very, very rooted in the 1990's.
Started 'ADDICTED', episode #1 on Amazon Prime in Google Chrome, and it didn't work- choppy little hang-ups. Back to Internet Explorer. I really don't understand why Chrome doesn't work.
Began the pilot of 'THE CHI' on Xfinity, and just a tiny bit of choppiness. Tried to run it on Explorer and very bad. Back to Chrome with occasional small stuttering, but well within tolerance. 'THE CHI' is like a modern update of 'THE WIRE' only set on the south-side of contemporary Chicago.
Weekly Cleanup at noon. The plan is to call Elsie's and hit FitClub later.
A little after 1pm I discovered that my land line was not working. I logged in to Xfinity to find the status of my phone and it was 'in process'. Must call ATT tomorrow to find out what's going on. I used the Tracfone to call Elsie's and Lannie said that he was a 'little out of it'. She thinks it might be more of his urinary tract problems, but it seemed much more mental to me. This was one of the first times that I didn't think that he had any idea who I was. He could remember his lines, but it wasn't the slightest bit like a real conversation.
I drove to FitClub, but stopped at Walgreens and got another 200 doses of my favorite laxative. In the bottle that I use, it's twenty bucks for a hundred, and only four bucks for another hundred more. Crazy to take the stuff in the cardboard box.
45" Octane (CROOKED FINGERS- I really like this band, it's the old ARCHERS OF LOAF). 45" Recumbent on the track area. 45" Cross. 15" Walk. (3.3 to 3.6/0). 30" Recumbent Bike. 30" Old Style Cross. 3 hrs. 30". Straight home to soak and read more of THE BORDERLINERS and listen to THE SUBDUDES.
Watching episode #1 of 'JAMES ELLROY'S- L. A. CITY OF DEMONS'- Amazon Prime (45"). Oddball, quirky true crime reporter, James Ellroy claims at the outset that, "dead women rule my world", and the premiere of this series is about The Black Dahlia murder, his mother's killing, and a couple of more tragic and forgotten murdered women. It's going to be a fairly interesting TV crime series, except his for interactions with a ridiculously fake bull dog/ crime dog. What was he smoking?
