Up 630am; rain lightly falling by 8am- mostly cloudy and 80's/.
Watched an excellent B-Movie, "2:13"- LA alcoholic profiler deals with a serial killer who's into S&M and masks. Surprisingly well-done, I was really not expecting something this good. Dwight Yoakam and Kevin Pollack had only small roles, mostly the work of unknowns.
1130am reading Stephen Wright. 1pm in the Accord to FitClub- rain still in the forecast, but it didn't happen. 45" Octane (ZOOMA). 45" Recumbent Bike (another egregious Bravo presentation, THE HOUSEWIVES OF NEW ORLEANS- can't get enough of this shit). 45" Cross (more bad TV). Legs/ Chest/ Biceps. 30" Old Style Cross (BUSINESSMEN WITH LONG HAIR; J. Mascis gets grilled about burner phones and then let go); whirlpool/ pool.

Home to first dust upstairs and downstairs, and then ran the sweeper and enough juice- on the lower setting- to do the job. Load off of my mind. If the sweeper's battery was shot, what would I do? Bought from Overstock and who the fuck would keep a box to possibly re-ship, and why would I pay for shipping, and on and on....

Called Elsie's and got a busy because the line was in use with The Brandenburgs. Within a few minutes I got him and Lannie and I learned that he's recovering from more prostate issues. This time, elevated temperature- Wouldn't be surprised if he incurred a bad sunburn due to the prostate on down the line. 

Reading downstairs and listening to ON THE CORNER- Miles and THE LION- Youssou N'Dour.

Watched 'WITHDRAWN', a Canadian film on Netflix.  Another very fine Independent about a young man who has no money, and tries to handle his financial obligations by being personable and accommodating, but that doesn't pay the rent- or the internet, and when he finds a credit card, maybe his luck will change. A well done ode to Slacker-dom.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Another episode of 'I'M DYING UP HERE', and then another 'GLOW'. 250PM- Drove to FitClub West, then after the workout to the County Market on south sixth for beer and some groceries- and a dependable can opener! We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
