Up 530am; hazy, humid, 70's- temps to low 90's with a slim chance of rain. 

Watched Netflix disc, 'THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. Well done black comedy; a woman buys advertising space on three billboards asking why the police haven't found the killer of her daughter. She was raped, murdered, and burned....'Sometimes, years later, in a bar or a jail cell, someone might confess to what happened...just stupid'.

A great 30" short called, 'SIX SHOOTER' was included on the disc by the director of the film. A young, irreverent man hassles some people on a train ride. He's just killed his mother, and later is killed in a hail of bullets. Another black comedy.

A couple of days ago I tried to watch 'I'M DYING UP HERE' on Xfinity, and it looked like it was now unavailable, but it's back! One more episode this morning... 

11am; water the front flowers/ reading. Haircut? Then Planet Fitness.  

I decided to take the Accord and went to the Supercuts on West Monroe about 115pm. Only took about fifteen minutes, got a wash, some products mashed in, and about six inches off the back. Not dry- which I thought was weird, how much more to dry because if it was frigid outside, that would have been 'a must have'. $18.00 and I gave her a three dollar tip. Nobody seemed to care one way or the other.

....About 30" into the Recumbent Bike, I began the new Stephen Wright novel, and I got a call from Cindy Lachel.

We talked for about fifteen minutes and she told me that Chris had died. They had been separated for a few months, and he was living in an apartment complex in Petersburg where he fell, hit his head, and this is what killed him. He had been a raging alcoholic for years and suffered heart bypasses, and a serious car accident where he sustained possible brain damage.

Dave Johnson is right behind Chris is the 'Alcoholic Sweepstakes', and has broken numerous bones due to falling down while drinking, and also has had heart surgeries, and lived in many places across America- even tossed out of his mother's home in Florida. 

Cindy seemed very nice, yet I've got serious apprehensions about getting back involved in this kind of 'crazy train'. 

45" Cross. 30" Walk. again at 3.7/0. Legs/ Chest/ Stomach.

Home to soak and listen to The Jefferson Airplane/ Black Motorcycle Club, the Stephen Wright, 'M31- A FAMILY ROMANCE', and 4 beers. 

Talk of all these raging alcoholics makes me think, and want one or two more....

Rereading this on Fr 8/30/24:

It says that Cindy told me that Chris died in an apartment complex in Petersburg. I thought it was the apartment complex east of Washington Park. I am sure that this memory is correct because I remember what side of the building that the accident occurred.
