Tu 7/17/18
Up 715am; Cooler and sunny. Temps only to mid 80's and less humid- a beautiful summer day.
Uninstalled Avis Anti-Virus on the PC. Just sick of the pop ups.
Tried to order a cassette player, but I think I'll see what I can find at the record store downtown first.
Having 'flickering issues' with the PC, but in a couple of hours it went away. I'd love to know whether it's a computer problem or a monitor issue.
Watched Netflix disc,'LEMON'- A morose, 'Theater of The Absurd' approach to failure- a difficult thematic choice to make failure into something painfully playful or almost fun. A great cast, and I really liked it. Like Nothing Else!
Janny called that they had to take the old man to the hospital. He told his helper that 'there's something wrong', and Lannie was called and she chose to act. No one knows if it's serious or not so serious. Janny and Joe were planning a two week drive across the country and a visit to Elsie's House at the end of July. Will they have to move it up a notch? To be continued...
The the last of the four part Netflix series on Donald Trump; (58").
1230pm- reading 'BASKET CASE' on the couch.
2pm on the bike to Planet Fitness and Wabash PO. 45" Walk (HOMELAND; first episode of Season Five). 45" Recumbent (BASKET CASE/ the new Stones album, 'BLUE AND LONESOME' on Amazon Music). 45" Cross (HOMELAND). 45" Bike (LOVE). 30" Walk (finished the Sam Jones interview with Bill Hader and began Rachel Brosnahan interview).
Home to soak and read more Carl Hiaasen/ 'THE WHIGS'- "Give 'em A Big Fat Lip".
Email from Janny that it's just more 'urinary infection' stuff. This is his 'Big Bugaboo'....
Will begin Netflix film, 'HOW IT ENDS'. This wouldn't play, so I began 'PLAYDATE'- a more or less forgettable suburban 'horror' story. Maybe I'll do the Forest Whitaker thing in the morning....it didn't get too favorable reviews either. After the 'most forgettable' PLAYDATE, I watched one more 'THE OFFICE'; I might forget it, but I shouldn't.
And, the reliability of Google Play continues. How come sometimes the discs go right into the library, and other times it's a fucking hassle?
NOTE TO SELF- Remember to reinstall the App on the phone; it seems to work OK after doing that.
