Tu 9/25/18
Up 9am; overcast and rain for late afternoon and evening- to about 80.
Sent Janny an email with the picture of Dave and I in different jackets and I gave her an explanation of yesterday's email problems. I probably changed the email 'contact' info when I was messing with the phone last Friday night.
Watching Netflix disc, 'A QUIET PLACE' (Jon Krasinski/ Emily Blunt) The Earth has been attacked by aliens and a family on an isolated farm try to survive. The aliens are blind, but have excellent hearing so the family must remain silent. Almost no dialog in the film, but nonetheless this is a harrowing and gripping thriller.
To stop the flickering I will try to plug the cord that connects the TV to computer into a different socket on the PC.
Today's Plan:
Will take the Accord to drop the disc, hit Planet Fitness, and then to Walmart for Bo's gift and FedEx Office to make a copy of the plane tickets. I also stopped at the dentist on Chatham to pay a $30 bill. Insurance didn't cover an additional check up, but they have already moved to West Wabash (near the theaters). I called from the parking lot of Planet West and paid Taylor with the debit card. Read/ skimmed more of 'LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE' and hit the road around 2pm.
45" Walk (3.8!)- 2 episodes of THE WIRE today. 45" Recumbent Bike (read/ 'X'- UNCLOGGED). 45" Cross (THE WIRE). 45" Bike (Read/ 'Learning To Flinch'- Warren Zevon). 30" Cross (THE WIRE).
Over to FedEx Office and had two copies made for thirty-five cents. Then, Walmart for the groceries and Bo's present. I spoke to a very young, black employee and she picked out the perfect gift. Bo can learn all about texting...$57 for the toy and food.
Home to soak, read, and listen to the best Early Dead that I've ever heard (Chris's New Tapes).
Watched 2 short films (approx. 25" each) that I found on Amazon Prime after this mornings film; 1) After an alien invasion a young girl decides to leave her father and join 'The Other'; 2) A young woman finds a robot and frees him. Then, another 'ATYPICAL'.
