Mo 1/22/18
Up 620am; 40's early and windy, yet almost to 70 with plenty of sunshine.
Wrote up 'THE ROUND HOUSE' for the blog. Finished Steve Tyler on Joe Rogan and began an interview with Eddie Van Halen, and another with Roseanne Barr with Rogan.
Watched 'SUBURBICON' (Amazon Prime). A Cohen Bros. film directed by George Clooney; Matt Damon/ Julianne Moore. To pay off a huge debt to the mob, a man kills his wife for the insurance money and then takes up with her twin sister. Everything that can go wrong, does go wrong, and the man's young son is the only witness to the crimes. And, the residents of Suburbicon try to rid the community of a black family. The film tries to cover too much moral and social ground, and therefore comes across as a bit too thin.
Then the last forty minutes of 'QUINCY' that I began last night. He DOES NOT! sound like your 'crazy uncle'. He comes across as an intellectual, yet feisty.
Then, "DERREN BROWN: SACRIFICE' (Netflix) A young man from Florida with racist tendencies ("I prefer white people, but I'm not a racist because that's how I was raised") is the object of Brown's illusion/ experiment to make him more empathetic.
130pm- to the 'Y'. Later must call Elsie's and do the grocery shopping. 45" Walk (HUMANS). 45" Bike (HUMANS). 45" Cross (2 episodes of 'HUMANS' today). 45" Recumbent Bike. 30" Cross (TEEN MOMS).
Called Elsie's House from the 'Y' parking lot- Audrey?, the Hispanic helper that I hadn't met would not tell me about how he was doing after his visit to the doctor concerning his facial lesions. She suggested that I call Lannie..... Thanks...Only spoke for a couple of minutes and he was no better or no worse than usual.
To County Market at Fairhills; $56.
Home to soak and read 'THE CROCODILE BIRD' and listen to 'The Ginger Baker Trio'.
Watched a Netflix bio/pic (50") of Bob Marley. I didn't realize that Marley left Jamaica because there was a political attack on him; not surprised that CIA was somehow involved.
Then, a Netflix show, 'LOCKUP RAW'- prisoners in 'The American System'.
