Th 11/1/18- Brewer at 1120am
Didn't finish the film until 1am, but up 7am. Chilly and rainy all day- high 40's.
Watched 'THE INFORMERS'(Amazon Prime) The film is nothing more than poorly executed 'Trash', and I'm a big fan of 'Trash'. It's based on a novel by Bret Easton Ellis, and he co-wrote the screenplay, but it completely misses the mark- lame and laughable; Billy Bob Thornton/ Kim Basinger/ Winona Ryder.
1040am- killing time; dreading chasing down Buddy with the cage. 1120am appointment at Brewer Animal Hospital.
He acted like a champ; caused a bit of a commotion in the waiting room, but was purring like a helicopter in the examination room. Dr. Kirk said that he probably had a mild urinary infection and he gave me some antibiotics in drop form. Once a day until they run out, and I can squirt them in his can food.
Home by noon, and I read on the couch, and finished 'THE STRANGER'- Harlan Coben. Excellent drama and story-line, but the writing ain't close to Connelly or Iles.
2pm- to the 'Y'. Only three or four choices on the TV and I really couldn't see all that much difference in the exercise equipment- the area had been closed for three days. 45" Walk (THE DESIGNATED SURVIVOR). 45" Recumbent Bike (began the first in the trilogy- MISSISSIPPI BLOOD/ Miles Davis; first time with the new ear buds). 45" Cross (SURVIVOR). 45" Bike (read/ Amazon Music). 37" Cross (The last episode of season #1, and I already have a half dozen of season #2 automatically loaded- I don't know if I like this feature).
Home to soak/ read more Iles/ listen to a live Dead tape from 1973 from The Lachel Collection.
Watching 'I'm Dying Up Here' on the PC. The young comics organize a strike at "Goldie's". Then, 'LOCKUP RAW'- what the food is like at some correctional facilities- Subtract the meat, and it's eerily close to what I eat every day.
