Tu 11/27/18- 1st Visit To Urologist

Up 7am; frigid, partly cloudy, trace of snow in the morning- temps only in the teens to low 20's all day.

Watched 'ORANGE COUNTY' (Amazon Prime) Star-studded comedy about a kid from Orange County, California who wants to get into Stanford and become a writer. The whole cast was great and Catherine O'Hara and Jack Black were terrific.

Then episode #1 of SEASON TWO, 'MR. ROBOT'. Just as good as the first season, and the 'David Lynch Type' weirdness works- not overwhelming like 'TWIN PEAKS 2'.

I'm super freaked for this afternoon's appointment, and I don't have the slightest idea of what to expect or what will be required. It might be routine event, or it might be the start of a new chapter in my life- when it all turns to shit.

Learned that Agnes Fenner is a Family Nurse Practitioner and it looks like Joe's doctor, Dr. Severino, is the 'big gun' of the department. Maybe this is a good sign because if my condition, ELEVATED PSA, was truly serious, I'd be seeing Severino.

The dread continues- unabated.....

Messed around on the PC and plan to hit FitClub West about 1115am. A full workout, then off to learn my fate. 45" Precor (Led Zep). 45" Walk (BELOW DECK all workout). 15" Recumbent Bike. 20" Old Style Cross; shower/ whirlpool. I should have done the full three hours because I arrived a half hour early.
I waited almost a half hour, and spent the time on my phone researching Anne Tyler and 'A SPOOL OF BLUE THREAD'.
The visit was informational and eased my mind. I told her that I was apprehensive about the 'prostate biopsy' and she said that it really did hurt. But, you can have the option of being sedated- and if it's necessary I will most definitely be under the needle.
My PSA numbers have been checked every time I have blood drawn and they've always been below the cut-off.
She went on to explain that there are a number of reasons that my PSA could be high; recent sex, bike riding, she didn't mention infections and I probably should have. She did 'the finger wave' and said that my prostate did not seem enlarged and it was smooth.
To have a woman do the test was not even a factor.
I was home about 5pm and I had a cup of hot chocolate- it was extremely cold and I was chilled. I read for about 40" and listened to part of a Dave Mathews cd.
Downstairs to watch 'HOSTEL' (Amazon Prime) 615pm. Eli Roth directed and I only watched an hour of it because it was just going to get too bloody. I tried a little of Trevor Noah's standup on Netflix, but lost interest. Then I began an English series about a woman who had been held captive in an apartment for thirteen years, 'THIRTEEN'.
