Tu 1/1/19 NEW YEAR'S DAY
Up 645am; cloudy and cold, temps to just above freezing. No more standing water on the street. It looks like we had over two inches of rain Sunday and Monday. At some point it must have been particularly intense or the basement area would still be dry.
Then 'CELLULAR' (Netflix) A young man gets a call on his cellular phone from a woman who has been kidnapped- mayhem ensues. The bad guys are crooked cops and the woman's husband has a videotape of them murdering two drug dealers in cold-blood and stealing their cash; Kim Basinger/ Chris Evans/ Jason Statham/ Jessica Biel. Remember when Nokia made nearly every phone?
Then 'A TWELVE YEAR NIGHT' (Netflix) The film is about several 'leftists' who were kept in isolation for over 12 years after a 1973 military coup in Uruguay. They were housed in medieval prisons, had nothing to occupy their time, and they were not even allowed to speak to the guards or other prisoners; "A survival drama and existential thriller".
About half way through the film I hooked up the new dehumidifier. Very simple to assemble and the operation seems quite easy. I hope it works.
130m- took down the Xmas decorations, and 2pm on the road to Planet Fitness.
45" Walk- level '0' because right foot is bothering me. (BILLIONS). 45" Recumbent Bike (BILLIONS/ read THE LAST TESTAMENT OF THE HOLY BIBLE). 45" Cross (PINE GAP). 45" Bike (read/ GAP). 30" (UNBREAKABLE- Kimmy and Titus go to church on Good Friday and Easter).
Home to soak/ listen to Danny Gatton/ more James Frey.
When I came downstairs everything was dry. I think the dehumidifier with the fan did the trick. Hope I never have to use them again, but I know I'd be lying.
'BROKEN' (Amazon Prime) Heather Graham on the downward slide as a singer/ song writer/ waitress/ junky....time shifts/ optional realities...with James Sisto. Strange film and kinda PK Dick with Film Noir. Interesting.
Then 'INSTA@FAMOUS (Netflix) A series of eight minute segments on people who are crushing social media/ Instagram- Popular guy tries to create 'A Brand In His Image'; Muscle guy wants to be famous; Hawaiian photog take pictures inside of curl of 'the perfect wave'.
