Up 620am; light freezing rain and the roads will be a mess till early afternoon and side streets really bad- (10am) the driveway looks treacherous...cat litter??? Cloudy and not quite to freezing all day. (the driveway was not an issue, but streets had not melted a bit, and the ruts on Westview were like it hadn't been plowed).

Wrote up 'POWDER' for the blog.

Watched Netflix disc, 'SEARCHING' What a powerful mystery/thriller!!! A father learns that his high school aged daughter is missing and that he wasn't as close to her as he believed. The entire movie is told primarily through the girl's social media/ phone texts/ emails/ computer interactions as the father frantically culls through her laptop trying to get clues as to where she might be. Shot in thirteen days and it took a year and a half to edit.

Called Dr. Ellison's office and set up an appointment for blood work at Koke Mill. I had to call Dr. Fenner's office so that they could fax the request order to Koke.

1115am- will read for a bit, 'THE BRASS CUPCAKE' and then hit Koke Mill Memorial and then over to the Wabash PO to drop the disc and workout at Planet Fitness.
A little after noon I left for Koke Mill. Some confusion, but I finally checked in. I didn't even have to pay a co-pay. A very nice young nurse and I was out by 1230pm and on the machines at Planet Fitness by 1245pm. I should get the results within the next day or so.

Home to read downstairs and listened to LIVING COLOUR.

Then in the tub for more 'THE BRASS CUPCAKE' and listened to the BAD BRAINS.

Problems with Amazon on the blu-ray to see THE AMAZING MRS. MAISEL, so I'll do another I'M DYING UP HERE on the PC.

4 beer night

Then watched a half hour interview with the cast of  'I'M DYING UP HERE' hosted by Doug Benson on Youtube from the South By Southwest Festival.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
