Mo 4/29/19- New Black Elantra Today

Up 715am; cool, overcast with periods of light rain- 50's.

Spent some time loading more films on Xfinity. Watched 'THE IDES OF MARCH' (Xfinity)  George Clooney stars and directs, with Ryan Gosling/ Evan Rachel Ward/ Philip Seymour Hoffman/ Paul Giamatti/ Marisa Tomei... "You can start wars, bankrupt the country, but you can't fuck the interns".

Called Brittany? to put the money in the account, and I was surprised to learn that I've got two million 12 thousand dollars! Then Emily called back to say that I would need a little more money to cover the taxes and she called Epperson and they set up the deal.

I called Doug Bishop at Green and he said the car would be finished by 1pm.

Watched '1945' (Amazon Prime) A black and white Hungarian film about two orthodox Jewish men who return to their village in August, 1945. It could almost be a 'European Western'- two taciturn men dressed in black facedown the inhabitants of a dusty, hostile town. And the film highlights the collective guilt about how they treated the Jews during the Nazi occupation. Paranoia, fear, guilt, and suppressed rage are the dominant themes of this well done moody drama.

Left for Hyundai about 120 pm, and met with Doug Bishop. He had the car 'polished' and gassed up and ready for 'hot shit works'. Probably a half hour in the car going over the 'details'. Clearly, the car is smarter than the driver.
I left and headed south on Dirksen then west on Stevenson and back on sixth to Wabash. Screwing around with the Sirius Radio....Don't need this. But, Doug did load the app for my phone, and I might use this.
Went north on Koke and visited Caleb at State Farm. Even he agreed that I didn't need 'full coverage'. I can pay for whatever damage is done to a $17,000 car.
He did enlighten me about car rental insurance. I would be covered on a rental if I had 'full coverage' on my car. I don't, but if I call him on the days that I have the rental he can save me a bundle.

To the 'Y' on the machines around 3pm. Talked to Jim....'Did you get my call?'

45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 45" Cross. 45" Recumbent Bike. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.

Home to soak to a singles tape that I made during the mid 80's and more Harry Hole.

'THE UNTOLD STORY OF DETROIT HIP HOP' (Amazon Prime). Rosamund pike series/ The Global Economy series; very, very sleepy
