Up 6am; partly sunny, but cooler- temps only to low 60's.
To utilize the speaker bar I will try to connect it to the PC downstairs, and then use those speakers on the DVD/TV. And, there is a very tall board in the garage that I think that I can cut a piece to 'bridge the gap' between the wall shelves.
Watched 'AMERICAN PASTORAL' (Amazon Prime) A heavy-handed presentation of one of Philip Roth's later novels. Just after WWII a Jewish vet seems to have it all. He's married a runner-up to Miss New Jersey, runs his father's successful glove factory, and he lives on a country estate far from the troubled city of Newark. However, all is not paradise. The daughter that he adores becomes entangled in the violent anti-war movement of the late 60's and he is powerless to get her back; directorial debut for Ewan McGregor, with/ Jennifer Connelly/ Dakota Fanning/ Molly Parker.
Then watched about forty minutes of 'DIRTY' (Sony Crackle), but went downstairs to see if I could hook the speaker bar to the PC....This should work?!?!
It did not work! I checked all three of the flat screen televisions, and none have this weird-ass input connection.
Finished 'DIRTY' Two crooked cops run afoul of Internal Affairs. Kind of confusing plot, yet a high-energy slice of LA gangland at its' most violent; with Cuba Gooding Jr..
1245pm: To Walmart to return the speaker bar, and get one that works! Then, to the 'Y'.
I got credit for the cord that didn't work, and I was confident that the new cord would do the trick. Several hours later.....it doesn't fucking work! The connection to the speaker bar is right, but I need 'old school' connections to the TV- like stereo receiver inputs. I will look at the cords that are available at Walmart, and if I don't see any that I think would work....it all goes back. I think when the new entertainment system goes in upstairs I can use those speakers, but I would really like a sound bar. Why the fuck is this so fucking hard?
45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.
Home to try to connect the speaker bar with much fucking swearing....no fucking luck.
Read 'THE TAKING' for 45" downstairs and listened to African Pop.
