Sa 5/4/19
Up 7am; partly sunny, to mid 60's. It's significantly drier downstairs. The fans are working, and where they are aimed it is not soaked, but damp. I opened the windows to dissipate the humidity. Maybe I will not have to use another electrical appliance- humidifier.
Watched Netflix disc, 'BLACKKKLANSMAN'
The first black officer hired by the Colorado Springs Police Department, Ron Stallworth, makes a cold call to the local KKK, pretends to be a white racist, and asks to be a member- He's accepted! Adam Driver plays 'the white' Ron Stallworth as they infiltrate the local 'invisible empire': "It's like writing history with lightning": A fantastic film!
Purely by chance, I picked out another dynamite Black Film!
'BLIND SPOTTING' (Xfinity) Identity politics, socio/political drama, and racial unrest plague a young man on his last three days on parole for a felony conviction. Collin and Miles work as movers in Oakland, CA and when Collin witnesses a police shooting, his world is turned upside down. Daveed Diggs was tremendous as Collin, and displayed a most effective use of a particularly fiery rap/ monologue; Daveed Diggs was in the smash Broadway hit, 'HAMILTON' where he portrayed 'Lafayette'.
215pm: To the Wabash PO to mail the disc and then a workout at Planet Fitness.
45" Walk (Last episode of 'WIDOW'- A woman's husband dies on a plane crash in The Congo, but she see's him on news footage three years later. She tracks him down and it's a huge, elaborate scam. Skimming a mining operation for a vital element in the making of phones and computers. Not a bad series, but not the greatest.). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read 'LOWDOWN'). 45" Cross (THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL). 30" Walk (MAISEL). 30" Cross (MAISEL/ The Melvins).
Home to read on the couch for 45"- finished 'THE BAT'.
Downstairs still very damp. Did it take this long to dry the other 'worst' time?
In the tub with 'THROWING MUSES' and more 'LOW DOWN'.
More 'BOSCH' (Amazon Prime), a 70's interview with Stephen King (Amazon Prime), then 'A Rant
/ Review of Travis McGee novels'- (Amazon Prime). Wrote a reply to a guy who posted a long review of the Travis McGee books on YouTube.
