Up 640am; some rain very early this morning, but we didn't get the deluge that was predicted. Partly sunny and sticky today; to mid 80's.

Watched 'RIGHTEOUS KILL' (Netflix) Robert De Niro/ Al Pacino/ 50 Cent/ Brian Dennehy  A lame Cop Thriller with De Niro and Pacino (Turk and Rooster) as detective partners. The set-up is that the De Niro character has gone rogue and has been cleansing the NYC streets of 'human scum' for a decade and a half. But, it's only ham-fisted mis-direction in the script- Pacino's character is the 'Avenging Angel'. Whatta Waste Of Talent!!

Then 'MURDER MYSTERY' (Netflix) Adam Sandler/ Jennifer Aniston  A light spoof on the Agatha Christie Genre, and mildly amusing, but more than I expected. A husband and wife take a European honeymoon on their fifteenth anniversary and wind up on a billionaire's yacht and become entangled in an inheritance swindle involving a triple murder.

1215pm: PC 'Off' and finished 'LOOKING FOR ALASKA'. A bike ride to LA Fitness later this afternoon.

3pm on the machines at LA Fitness. 'The Village Idiot' approached me as I was biking around the front of LA Fitness. The next time I see that guy I'm going to ask what's going on, and maybe get a photo and tell him that I'm going to the police.

45" Walk (UNDERCOVER). 45" Recumbent Bike (began the new Harry Bosch novel). 45" Cross (UNDERCOVER). 30" Walk (ENTOURAGE). 30" Cross (finished the Cross Talk interview with Andrew Bird, and first time with the new ear buds from The Dollar Store- work fine).

Home to soak with more Harry and Lenny Kravitz on the Baby Boom Box.

Last episode of Season One of 'DESIGNATED SURVIVOR'. Season Two is now out. Then a couple of  episodes of , 'EASY' (Netflix). A bit of aggravation from the DVD player.....  Six Beer Night.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
