Su 6/9/19

Up 640am; partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers later this afternoon- to low 80's.

Watched 'WELCOME TO THE RIPLEY'S' (Amazon Prime) Kristen Stewart/ James Gandolfini/ Melissa Leo  After their fifteen year old daughter is killed in a car accident, The Ripley's marriage has stagnated and hit a dead end. Doug Riley's mistress dies unexpectedly,  and he feels that he must make a dramatic change in his life. He travels to New Orleans for a plumbing convention, and meets a young stripper that reminds him of his dead daughter. He gives fatherhood another shot when he moves in with the girl, and they establish a kind of 'father daughter' relationship. Kind of a flimsy plot, yet the performances save the day.

Then, the second episode of three in the new season of 'BLACK MIRROR' (Netflix). A cab driver takes an intern hostage from an English company similar to Facebook. He wants to tell the owner and founder of the company that he's responsible for the death of his girlfriend. The cabbie's attention was diverted to a random post on social media while driving his girlfriend home, and another car hit them and she was killed. Beautifully shot, yet the premise was a little weak.

1145am: reading 'WAYFARING STRANGER', then 130pm on the bike to FitClub West.
Talked to 'The Coach'. He still hasn't bought a car. 45" Octane (Elvis/ Stones). 45" Walk (TV all workout). 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Old Style Cross.

Home to do the Weekly Clean Up', and then read downstairs. Finished 'WAYFARING STRANGER' and began 'PLAYING FOR PIZZA'- a comedic novel by John Grisham!?!?

In the tub with a collaboration of David Byrne and Brian Eno and more 'Football In Parma';

The next 'WHEN THEY SEE US' (Netflix) This could have made an exceptional 90" movie on its' own. Then 'History Roasts' (Netflix)...almost insulting, and not very clever or funny.
