Up 6am; cloudy to sunny, and much cooler; low 60's early, and to mid 70's.

NO WATER DOWNSTAIRS; relieved, yet surprised because some of the storms were as fierce as I've seen.

Watched 'COP CAR' (Netflix) Two young boys find an abandoned cop car, steal it, and get caught up in a deadly adventure; with Kevin Bacon/ Shea Whigham/ and with Kyra Sedgwick as the voice of the dispatcher.

Then, the last 25" of last night's documentary 'ABDUCTED IN PLAIN SIGHT' from the book 'STOLEN INNOCENCE'.

Then, 'THE SUMMER OF 03' (Netflix) Grandma makes a deathbed confession that sends a family reeling. "You're going to heaven because I had you secretly baptized and kept it from your Jew mother". And, "The most important thing for you to learn is how to give a really good blowjob". A provocative 'coming of age' saga, and Joey King was fantastic.

1220pm: PC 'Off' and reading 'OLIPHANT'; 230pm to LA Fitness.

45" Walk (First episode of 'DARK'). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read 'OLIPHANT'). 45" Cross ('DARK'). 30" Walk ('DARK'- finished the first three episodes today). 30" (OFF CAMERA).

Home to read for 40", the collection of Jack Reacher Novellas; then in the tub with more Lee Child and BOZ SCAGGS).

The next episode of 'SNEAKY PETE' (Amazon). Then, 'PARTNERS IN CRIME', a police/ forensic/ true crime series from Hong Kong.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Another episode of 'I'M DYING UP HERE', and then another 'GLOW'. 250PM- Drove to FitClub West, then after the workout to the County Market on south sixth for beer and some groceries- and a dependable can opener!  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland.
