Up 715am: A nice soaking morning rain was falling and temps only in the low 70's. More rain expected later today- temps to low 80's.
Watched 'ROUNDERS' (Hoopla) A well done film about poker. 'Rounders' are people who play cards for a living. "It's not luck, it's a game of skill. Why are the same five guys always at the World Tournament Of Poker in Vegas? Are these guys the luckiest people on the planet?"- with Matt Damon/ Gretchen Mol/ John Malkovich/ Edward Norton/ John Turturro.
Then watched 'DOPE SICK LOVE' (Amazon Prime) Two drug addicted couples are filmed for 18 months on the streets of Manhattan. No music and no narration- just the camera to document their sickness; harrowing and grim. You know you've crossed a boundary when you use toilet water for a fix.
Wrote the Week Wrap and did a little weeding under the big tree out front. The plan is to hit the 'Y' and then buy a bucket of white paint for the basement floor after the workout. Tomorrow is 'Paint Day In The Basement'.
Just after I sent the email, I checked the mail and got a letter from The Annuity telling me how much was taken out for taxes. Not a fucking word as to how much was my payout was. Who fucking does that?
A little after 3pm I was on the machines at the 'Y'. 45" Walk. (Reality TV All Workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.
To Walmart, but they didn't have the right paint. I wanted 'semi gloss', and they didn't even know if they sold that for concrete. I was going to buy some razors, but there were people with loaded grocery carts waiting the checkout at the 'garden section', so I just left the razors on the shelf. Then, I went to Lowes and got a thirty dollar gallon. Fuck it.
Home to soak and listen to KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND and read more 'GRAY MOUNTAIN'.
'THE CLOSER' episode 2 (Amazon Prime) Then some 'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM'. Awoke in the chair at 330am- very tired.
