Up 715am; The last day of the molten heat and humidity. Sunday and Monday forecast for rain, and temps only to the mid 80's for the rest of the week.

Dumped several pails of water on the sod covering the outtake pipe for the sump pump. Cut the roots that were exposed.

Watched 'LOVING PABLO' (Amazon Prime) Javier Bardem/ Penelope Cruz   Based on events described in the book, 'LOVING PABLO, HATING ESCOBAR' by Virginia Vallejo. It's really about the danger of 'Free Market Capitalism'. When a small group of oligarchs control most or all of the cash, they have the power. Democracy cannot work under such a system. Escobar and Trump share many characteristics. First and foremost, although both men have the money, they feel unworthy of the respect and acceptance of 'their betters'.

Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
