Up 645am; Another scorcher- heat index to three digits and plenty of sun.
Watched 'EMMA' (Xfinity) A little difficulty loading the film at first. An adaptation of a Jane Austen novel; Emma Woodhouse is a self-appointed 'matchmaker' and causes romantic havoc, yet all's well that ends well; great set designs/ Gwyneth Paltrow/ Toni Collette.
Then, 'THE MOGULS' (Amazon Prime) Renamed 'THE AMATEURS' Jeff Bridges heads an amazing cast in a colossal dud of a film. A group of losers collaborate to make a porn film; with Ted Danson/ Valerie Perrine/ Judy Greer/ Jeanne Tripplehorn/ John Hawkes/ Joe Pantoliano/ Tim Blake Nelson. Considering the wealth of star power, it's positively stunning just how bad it was. Shot in Piru and Arcadia, California.
1pm: PC is 'Off', AC set at 81, and downstairs to read. Stayed downstairs just a few minutes, and decided to bike to FitClub West.
45" Octane (OFF CAMERA- finished Sienna Miller and most of David Tennant). 45" Walk (Reality TV All Workout). 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Old Style Cross.
Home to read downstairs and listen to tapes; Guitars of Africa/ First Funkadelic.
In the tub with Thom Yorke and finished 'THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST', and began 'THE 25TH HOUR'.
'BIG KILL' (Netflix) An 'old school' cowboy movie with terrible costumes and pathetic sets; Lou Diamond Philips/ Danny Trejo/ Jason Patrick. A tender-foot accountant from back East teams up with two quasi-criminal cowboys to locate his brother in Big Kill, Arizona...("Never heard of it"...); lame.
