Up 615am; crisp early- temps only in the mid 60's and plenty of sun. To just over 80 later. Perfect Summer Weather!

Wrote up 'THE LEISURE SEEKER' for the blog.

Watched 'SURVEILLANCE' (Hoopla) Two FBI agents investigate a series of murders in a very rural community. The local cops are corrupt and predatory, but the killers are the FBI agents. Very sick, twisted, and transgressive; with Bill Pullman and Julia Ormond. I loved it!! Co-written and directed by Jennifer Lynch, daughter of David Lynch.

Then watched 'JOY' (Netflix) An Austrian Art Film about sex trafficking. Joy, a young Nigerian woman caught in the vicious cycle of sex trafficking, is instructed by her exploiter Madame to supervise Precious, a teenage girl who is not ready to accept her fate; Bleak, dismal, harrowing, and grim.

Called about the 'Worden Annuity' and was told to just wait until the end of September. And, there is no way to find out the status of an ongoing claim. Sound ridiculous!

I sent an update to Joe about the call.

130pm: On the bike to Planet Fitness and a little after 2pm on the machines. 45" Walk. (BAD BLOOD- first episode of season 2. Crime lord in Montreal wants to be the undisputed king, and a couple twins from the old country try to muscle in on his turf). 45" Recumbent Bike. (read 'DOUBLE WHAMMY'). 45" Cross. (BAD BLOOD). 30" Walk. (BAD BLOOD). 30" Cross. (OFF CAMERA- Javier Badem).

Home to read in the living room and listen to XTC. Then in the tub for PAVEMENT/ CRAZY HORSE and more Bass Fishing Intrigue.

The first episode of the next season of,  'COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE'- Eddie Murphy. Then an episode of 'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM'.

I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
