Up 720am. Even before coffee, I went out back and cut down the weeds in the 'Santa-Monk' flower bed. I put the weeds in the 'blue can' because today is 'pickup day'.

Sunny, humid, with temps to about 90.

Watched 'MANUSCRIPTS DON'T BURN' (Hoopla)
A most unusual 'hit-man film'. Two regular, working class guys target writers and intellectuals in contemporary Iran under the command of a sinister controller. One of the guys has a son that needs hospital treatment, yet the compensation for his 'wet work' doesn't seem to get into his bank account.
" A lacerating and slow-burning thriller filmed in a frigid palate of blues and greys, Manuscripts Don't Burn is perhaps the most subversive and incendiary j'accuse lodged against an authoritarian regime since the fall of the Soviet Union".

Then, the next 'ANGELS IN AMERICA' (Amazon Prime) Jeffrey Wright, as Pacino's razor-sharp nurse, steals the show.

Home to soak and finish 'THE HIT' and began 'THE STUDIO'. CHARLIE MINGUS/ JONI MITCHELL.

The next episode of 'THE CLOSURE', and two episodes of  'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM' - Season II.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
