We 9/4/19

Up 740am; sunny with temps to high 70's- beautiful!!

Watched 'A SIMPLE FAVOR' (Amazon Prime) A perfect role for Ana Kendrick. She's a super-suburban-single mom in Connecticut who becomes friends with a high profile psychopath who is the mother of her son's best friend. She uncovers a wicked scheme of multiple murders and a four million dollar life insurance scam; A very fine black comedy.

1025am the computer shut down and asked for an update restart. I did and it only took a few minutes.

Watched 'MR. ROOSEVELT' (Amazon Prime) Another fine Independent film. A struggling LA comedienne goes back to her hometown of Austin, TX. where her pet cat, Mr. Roosevelt, is dying. She stays at the house that she lived in with her ex-boyfriend, and now he has a new girlfriend. Noel Wells wrote/ starred/ and directed the film. She's from Saturday Night Live and The Upright Citizens Brigade.

230pm: Biked to the 'Y' and I called Walgreens on Koke about getting a flu shot but decided it would run too late. I've still got a couple of weeks to get it before the flu season begins.

45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 15" Bike. 30" Recumbent Bike. (Too many people on the recumbents, but not many people in the workout area). 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.

Home to soak and almost finish the James Lee Burke novel and listened to THE CRANBERRIES/ THE DESCENDENTS.

'DOWN IN THE SHADOWLAND' Tom Dicillo (Amazon Prime). Only did about ten minutes of this...not bad, just documentary style of people on NYC subways.

Then switched to 'THEN THE SUN CAME OUT'; a documentary about the making of an album by stellar musicians in New Zealand, 2009; the guys from CROWDED HOUSE, Neil and Tim Finn, hosted it with Jeff Tweedy and some of WILCO, SOUL COUGHING, and several others. Well worth a look .
