Sa 11/2/19- Clocks Back

Sa 11/2/19

Up 730am: Bright, breezy, and sunny with temps to just about 50.

Watched Netflix disc, 'KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES'. A fairly ridiculous bit of fluff that was barely amusing. A suburban couple suspect that their new neighbors on the cul-de-sac are secret agents; with Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher (she's Sacha Baron Cohen's wife!), Jon Hamm, Gal Gadot, and Patton Oswalt, and I'm embarrassed for all of them.

Then, 'THE 51sT STATE (ESPANOL) (Amazon Prime) Another dumb Action/ Comedy, but this was the Spanish version, and not nearly worth the effort. I shut it down after five minutes.

I settled on 'LOOKING FOR THE JACKALOPE' (Amazon Prime). Another very high quality small budget picture that really packed a punch. A 'blocked' novelist is invited to his 20 year college reunion hopes to rekindle the romance with 'the girl he left behind'. He misses his flight, and takes a train,  then a failed attempt at hitchhiking, a ride in an RV, and finally catches a ride with a college pal. He meets the girl, but he is shocked to learn that she is a happily partnered lesbian. When the film ends, it looks as if he's got his life back on track..."Sometimes you have to go off the rails to get things back on track".

230pm: In the back hacking at the weeds in the 'Santa Monk' garden and raking some pine needles to spread on the flower beds (hopefully to retard weed growth). It looks better than it did, and I hope that pine needles will substitute as mulch.

4pm: Dropped the disc at the Wabash PO and working out at Planet Fitness. 45" Walk (Episode 2 of 'THE YARD'- a Turkish production, and that's it for that one. It's a lame imitation of, 'ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK' without the humor or clever dialog. 45" Recumbent Bike (Read 'BODY SURFING', listened to TEN FROM BADFINGER). 45" Cross (2 episodes of 'TOON'- A Dutch production, and I like this one). 30" Walk (More 'TOON'). 30" Cross (AFTER HOURS- Edward Norton).

Home to soak and listen to 'ARCTIC MONKEYS' and 'THE MELVINS', and finished 'BODY SURFING'.

Started Season 4 of 'BREAKING BAD' (Netflix). Giancarlo Esposito is featured and he is fantastic! Then a 45" biography of AEROSMITH.
