Th 12/5/19

Up 7am: Bright, sunny and unseasonably mild with temps to mid 50's.

Logged on the Hoopla and got 'THE DRUMMER' before the library reached the limit for the day. A young man from Hong Kong seduces a gangster's mistress and is banished to Taiwan where he meets a group of Zen drummers. He becomes part of their musical collective and their philosophical discipline changes his life. Beautifully shot on the island of Taiwan and a great 'coming of age' tale.

*******And for no determinable reason at all....I shaved!

Then I watched, 'KILL CHAIN' (Amazon Prime) A gangster in hiding operates a hotel in the slums of a Colombian city. He interacts with a series of hit men and gangsters and a story unfolds. This would have made a better novel than a film, but still well worth a look; with Nicholas Cage.

Did the Xmas shopping. Took about twenty minutes and done by 130pm.

Jonas is 8 in Feb  *camera
Bo is 4            *scooter       $78 Total                                          Free Delivery by Dec 16th.

Luke is 2          *Sit and Spin

150pm: PC is 'Off' will read a bit, listened to  EARLY VELVET UNDERGROUND ON the living room Altec, and hit Planet Fitness later.
The mailwoman delivered the disc that was lost in the mail and I dropped it off at the Wabash PO and was on the machines at Planet Fitness by 3pm.
45" Walk (YouTube True Crime). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read 'THE HUNGER' and listened to The Stones 'BLUE & LONESOME'). 45" Cross (YouTube video about MURDER IN HONDURAS). 30" Walk (First episode of French series on Netflix, 'MYTHOMANIAC'). 30" Cross ('MYTHOMANIAC' and TV).

******To heighten the reception I moved the router to the top of the computer table in the living room. It is a fucking rat's nest of cords, but everything seems to be working, and the tunes in the bathroom did not stutter on the Baby Boom!

Home to soak and listen to ROSANNE CASH and ROY BUCHANAN and more Vampire Tales.

Then I watched and skimmed through a ninety minute 1971 PBS Special called, 'INTRODUCING ROY BUCHANAN' on YouTube. He had to be one of the best guitarists in any genre. He does Blues, Jazz, Rock, and even Gospel. He played lead guitar with Merle Haggard and I was surprised to learn that he had six kids.

Then watched, 'BOTTLED UP- THE BATTLE OVER DUBLIN DR. PEPPER'.
