Up 8am: Cloudy and blustery with temps to low 30's.
Watched Netflix disc, 'BOOKSMART' Directorial debut by Olivia Wilde. Two girlfriends try to drop their 'booksmart' ways and party on the last night of high school. Similar to 'SUPERBAD' in that they're both wickedly silly, yet insightful spoofs of high school life; with Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein, Jessica Williams, Jason Sudeikis, and Lisa Kudrow. Beanie Feldstein who plays Molly in BOOKSMART is the sister of Jonah Hill who starred in 'SUPERBAD'.
When I got up this morning I listened to a Terry Gross interview with Ray Davies that really set the stage for the second 'Morning Movie which was.....
'MY GENERATION' (Amazon Prime) A documentary hosted by Michael Caine about London's Swinging Sixties with interviews from musicians, fashion designers, artists, photographers, and models. Caine said that his original stage name was 'Michael White', but when he tried to join the actor's guild, someone already had that name. So when his manager asked him to choose another, he picked 'Michael Caine' because he was in a phone booth and the theater across the street was playing the Humphrey Bogart film, 'THE CAINE MUTINY'. He said that if had looked at the other theater next door, he would have been known as 'Michael 1,000 and One Dalmatians'. HaHaHaHa.
215pm: To the Wabash PO to mail the disc and then to Planet Fitness for the workout. And later, the grocery shopping at County Market/ Fairhills.
On the machines at Planet Fitness by 250pm. 45" Walk (COLD CASE- Chandra Levy). 45" Recumbent Bike (read 'SYCAMORE ROW' and listened to LIVE BIG STAR and THE KINGSMEN). 45" Cross (COLD CASE- Chandra Levy). 30" Walk (THE CROWN). 30" Cross (THE CROWN).
To The County Market/ Fairhills; $57. Then home to soak and read more Grisham and listen to 'LIVE, LOVE, LAFF, LOAF'- Fred Frith, Henry Kaiser, Richard Thompson, and GEORGE HARRISON.
The next 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix).
Then part of a YouTube interview with Rick Rubin and then I listened to some of 'BLACK SABBATH- 13' that he produced.
Then, 'COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE'- Norm MacDonald (Netflix) .
