We 12/25/19- Xmas Day

Up 730am: Sunny and temps might break 60! Low 60's predicted for tomorrow.

Watched, 'THE FIRST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST' (Netflix) A crazy Spanish satire about Jesus's thirtieth birthday. He comes back with his gay boyfriend after forty days in the wilderness and meets 'God' who he thought was his uncle. Wacky and wildly irreverent....a perfect Christmas film! (46")

Then, 'CITY ISLAND' (Amazon Prime) It's going to be dropped from Amazon on Dec. 31st, and I'm glad I caught it. A prison guard on City Island keeps a secret from his wife and kids. He is an aspiring actor and when he attends acting class, he says he's playing poker. And there he meets a woman from class who encourages him to go to an audition for a Martin Scorsese film, and he gets the part. The guard has also reunited with his long lost son that he has gotten out of prison for boosting a car and his other son is involved with the fat video porn star across the street. Sounds ridiculous, but the film actually worked; with Andy Garcia, Julianna Margulies, Emily Mortimer, and Alan Arkin.

****1145am: Wrapped the Xmas gifts. Finished in a half hour.

Watched episode 2 of 'GUN' Six episode series produced by Robert Altman; (Amazon Prime) A Japanese businessman fakes his suicide to look like a robbery so that his wife will get the insurance. But she is having an affair with their lawyer and is a suspect, and the two have a stupid scheme to beat the lottery; with Martin Sheen, Tess Harper, and Bud Cort.

2pm: on the street for an outside run. Down Westview, South and over to Washington Park. To MacArthur, around the north side of the park, and up Parkview to Kenyon and down Westview: Just about exactly ONE HOUR.

Then to Jamie and Melissa's for Xmas...Baa-Humbug...It was really quite pleasant and I left about 630pm and arrived just at 4pm. The 'Sit And Spin' for Luke was a big hit with all the kids. And, the camera for Jonas was probably his favorite gift of all! Hank got the 'T-Ball Set' and Bo didn't use the 'Spiderman Scooter', but they said that he'll really love it.

Home to watch, 'GOTTI';  A pretty lame movie about the Mafia boss, John Gotti. Travolta gave a strangely  'wooden performance',  and this obviously real mob figure demands a much better script with a better director; with John Travolta, Stacy Keach, and Pruitt Taylor Vince.

Then, an episode of 'ADDICTED' (Amazon Prime)
