We 12/4/19- Mailed Colon Screen
Up 7am: Clear skies, breezy with temps to about 50.
Quite a bit of information to process to prepare the colon screening packet. Many steps to follow and I'll bet they receive many samples that are unusable. I hope I included enough 'stuff' because the instructions on that seemed a little unclear.
Watched, 'FAULTS' (Amazon Prime) A very fine and strangely unsettling Independent. A slow burning black comedy that rockets into an intense thriller about cults and mind control. A hapless cult deprogrammer tries to 'free' a young woman, but he's no match for her powers. I loved this one! Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars and her husband, Riley Stearns, directs (and Lance Reddick is in it!).
Called Dentist to change the appointment from Book Club Wednesday to the next day at 240pm. Then called Dr. Peterson to verify the appointment- 4pm on Dec. 23rd at Springfield Clinic West/with Rhonda Woodbury.
Then watched, 'DRIVE' (Netflix) A Hollywood stuntman and getaway driver becomes involved with a beautiful neighbor and her young son. Features extreme violence with forks, knives, hammers, and razors. I'd seen this before but well worth a second look; with Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, and Albert Brooks.
Called Green Toyota on Wabash and verified that I could use their car wash since Green on Vets is not working.
1pm: Dropped the Colon Screen and the $25 Rebate for the Wellness Exam- Aetna at the box off Monroe, and then Green Toyota delivered a wonderful wash (apparently none of the Green car washs are open if the temperature is below 40. This is unfortunate), and on the machines at the 'Y' by 145pm.
45" Walk (TV all workout- mostly the next round of Impeachment Hearings. This one with the three constitutional scholars). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 30" Walk. 30" Cross.
Home to vacuum the car before I left the garage. Then downstairs to read 'THE HUNGER' and listened to JOHN BARLEYCORN MUST DIE and part of THE LOW SPARK OF HIGH-HEELED BOYS.
Then in the tub with more Vampire Hijinks and listened to 'Black Vinyl'- THE SHOES.
********Computer speed is very low in the early evening. I've heard that during the Pre-Xmas Holiday Season, people shop on their phones during working hours and come home and order on their computers. Maybe this 'high traffic' explains the slower speeds.
The next 'BREAKING BAD' Season 2 (Netflix).
Then, 'THE ROLLING STONE UNDER REVIEW 1967-1969 (Amazon Prime)..watched about 20".
Then, another episode of , 'BRAINDEAD' (Amazon Prime)
