Up 730am: More cloudy weather with temps to mid 30's.

Diarrhea continues yet maybe getting better. Constipation ahead?

Watched 'EYE FOR AN EYE' (Netflix)..."A drug dealer looking for rest. A nurse looking for revenge. A crossroads where no one is safe"....An imprisoned elderly drug kingpin is suffering from a degenerative disease and is placed in a nursing home to finish his sentence. His male nurse lost a brother to drugs, so he addicts the dealer to  the same drugs that he pushes. The twist is that the kingpin leaves all of his money to the nurse, and, out of revenge, the dealer's family murders the nurse's wife, and his life is ruined. Filmed in Spain just north of Portugal; stars Luis Tosar. A fine film!

Then watched, 'THE TICKET'(Amazon Prime- leaving 2/5). "For fifty years a man pleads with god to let him win the lottery. God would have done it, but the man never bought a lottery ticket."... A man has been blind since his teens, and suddenly regains his sight. He worked as a telemarketer for a large real estate investment group, and when he gets his sight back he pushes the company to become even more predatory. Their directive was similar to the 'redlining' of the fifties and sixties by spreading fear and mistrust of minorities to lower home values. But, in this film they use the crash of 2008 and the subsequent debt crisis as the basis for the 'fear' of home depreciation. The man leaves his wife and son, takes up with a beautiful, yet moral less woman, seems to become successful, then he loses his sight... again.... Maybe a cinematic re-telling of the book of Job; Malin Akerman, she plays Damian Lewis's wife on 'BILLIONS', and Dan Stevens from DOWNTON ABBEY, and Oliver Platt. Not a bad film, but somewhat lacking, especially the weird ending. Who was the woman going 'Shhhhhsssshhhh'?

Home to read downstairs and listen to ROYAL BLOOD (learned of this band from PEAKY BLINDERS) and more GERRY RAFFERTY.

Then in the tub with more Elizabeth Berg and YES and LIVE SAVOY BROWN.

Watched MISS AMERICANA- TAYLOR SWIFT (Netflix). The story of an extremely talented girl who was groomed and marketed to become a country western star. She achieves her dreams  and twenty years later realizes that the traditional values that she was raised to believe are way out of step with contemporary culture...and she changes. Not a bad doc...

Then another episode of , 'THE KOMINSKY METHOD' (Netflix)

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
