Up 650am: Cloudy to mid 30's, however no real melting.
Watched Netflix disc, 'MARIA BY CALLAS'. Large chunks of the film are in another language and there are no subtitles. Very irritating! How could this have been allowed to be released? The biggest takeaway is that Callas had a nine year relationship with Aristotle Onassis and then he left her to marry Jackie. Later Callas and Onassis had an affair, ended it, yet remained friends. Not a very good bio.
Then watched, 'THE COLDEST GAME' (Netflix). A strange film set during the October, 1963 Cuban Missile Crisis that concerns an international chess meet between the US and Russia. I'm not clear as to how the win or loss of this chess game had any effect on nuclear strategy.
The description at Imdb:
"During 1962's Cuban missile crisis, a troubled math genius finds himself drafted to play in a U.S.-Soviet chess match -- and a deadly game of espionage." Bill Pullman was the only American star in this Polish produced film.
1230pm: PC is 'Off'- will read/nap for a while on the couch then the Wabash PO to mail the disc and a workout at Planet Fitness.
****Heatset gave me problems. Being stoned might have been a factor, but used the ear buds for the entire workout.
On the machines at Planet Fitness by 215pm.
45" Walk (JONESY'S JUKEBOX- The guy from WOLFMOTHER). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read 'LONELY BOY' and listened to BADFINGER and BAD COMPANY. 45" Cross (THE STRANGER). 30" Walk (THE STRANGER/ JONESY'S JUKEBOX).
Home to read and finish 'LONELY BOY' on the couch, then in the tub with 'THE FACE OF A STRANGER'- the first novel in the William Monk series; listened to BADBADNOTGOOD/ BADEN POWELL/ more BADFINGER.
Watched 'THE GLAMOUR AND THE SQUALOR' (Amazon Prime). A bland look at the early 90's Seattle Scene.....
QUEEN- Brian May on JONESY'S JUKEBOX.
Then a random episode of ' CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM' (Amazon Prime). Larry donates as 'Anonymous' because he feels he'll get more positive reaction than if he donates under his own name.
