Up 8am: Sunny and temps should break 40.
Wrote up 'THE CROSSING' for the blog.
Watched Netflix disc, 'FIREWORKS (HANA-BI)'- "Classic Beat Takeshi film". A disgraced ex-cop spends his time caring for his dying wife while planning a bank robbery and a mass murder of a local Yakuza crew. One of the characters takes up painting and the film spends a lot of time showcasing these impressive works of art. All were painted by Takeshi while he was recovering from a near fatal motorcycle accident.
Realized that this was the last day of the month and I had one more pick at Hoopla. Today I'll be late for the workout.
'ALRIGHT NOW' (Hoopla). A very odd film about a woman in a 90's rock band who drops out of the Music Biz to attend college at Falmouth University. She gets into a relationship with 'teddy bear of a guy'. None of it was plausible or even very believable; with Cobie Smulders and Richard Elis.
3pm: To Planet Fitness. 45" Walk (JONESY'S JUKEBOX). 45" Recumbent Bike (Read 'THE YEAR OF PLEASURES' and listened to TY SEGALL and GET YER YA YA'S OUT- I learned that the Stones have added many more live songs from their 1969 American tour). 45" Cross (NARCOS). 30" Walk (NARCOS). 30" Cross (JONESY'S- with John Carpenter; dir.).
****I thought that I might drop by the steak place for Joe's 70th birthday bash, but I didn't get to the gym until 3pm and I didn't finish until almost 630pm. Best not to get involved or I will be attending many, many Brandenburg events. I love the fact that they have them, and that they invite me, but I feel that this is not my place....I guess....
Home to soak and read more and listened to THE BEATLES and BECK.
Watched the next episode of, 'THE TRIALS OF GABRIEL FERNANDEZ' (Netflix).
Then an oddity from Amazon Prime called, 'PAUL MCCARTNEY REALLY IS DEAD. I watched about an hour of this almost 'mockumentary'? Made the case that Paul was actually killed in a car accident in 1966. 'Rita' was the driver and a 'false Paul' or 'Faul' was put in the group to keep them from breaking up.
