Up 7am: Gray, raw, breezy- to upper 30's.

Watched, 'GIRLHOOD' (Kanopy).
My post on Kanopy:
"The film is an examination of Race, Class and Gender through the lens of a female coming of age melodrama. It's realistic, yet depressing since none of the characters have any positive direction because there is nothing positive in their lives. I'd rate the film- "A Compelling Downer"."

Then, 'FIRST LOVE' (Hoopla)."...story of a young boxer and a call girl, who fall passionately in love while getting innocently caught up in a drug-smuggling scheme over the course of one night in Tokyo." A couple of beheadings, some weird hallucinations, and several crazed gunfights, and even a cartoon car chase make this a strange film, indeed. It's a kind of noirish Yakuza film with crooked cop flourishes; directed by Takashi Miike.

Watched 'HIRED GUN' (Amazon Prime). Another bland documentary, but this is about the LA studio musicians who play on your favorite records, but they are not credited... Ho Hum....

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
